I bought this course shortly after it was released and it's proven to be one of the best tutorial investments I've ever made. I have no need or use for apps like Sibelius or Finale. I’m fully invested in Logic’s score editor; it’s deep and more than comparable to the “big two”, especially for my use.
Although I've watched this tutorial all the way through more than a few times, I don't use the score editor often enough to have memorized all of its intricacies. I refer back to it regularly, especially when I forget how to do something or face an issue I'm unfamiliar with, and these videos never let me down. I highly recommend everyone who’s even remotely intrigued by the score editor purchase this tutorial.

Until the past year I have used Sibelius for scoring and Logic for midi editing and recording, finding the Logic score editor incomprehensible. Peter's excellent step-by-step guide really opened my eyes, as a music reader it is invaluable to have the notation to refer to! However, I cannot find a way to get rid of empty bars in an orchestral score - every page has the full score even if just one flute is playing!!? If this is doable I can say goodbye to Sibelius.

I signed on just for this course. I wholeheartedly recommend it. I'm a pro user of over 25 years but the score editor has always frustrated me ... but it's been the only tool for some projects where audio creation, arrangement and then the transcription of parts is best handled in one application. Peter has cleared up many issues for me. I'm grateful

It is amazing how exited the author is about Logic's notation cababilities considering how terrible it is compaired to professional notation programs. There is no way a serious music copyist would use Logic. This said, combining Logic's Midi editing features with a professional notation pogram is a great idea, for those that like to play in their parts in real time. The course does not at all cover midi step input, how to re-pitch notes to creat harmony, and other important things. There is also no mention of the terrible desition Apple made when abandoning the global chord symbol track, which added chord symbols automatically by analysing the score. I definitely like Peter's presentation style. Very entertaining.
