The density of useful information in the course (like most MacPro courses) was a heavy attention draw. You need to know this stuff if you're using Logic to mix. I recommend taking organized notes at any data point you think might be pertinent, especially keyboard shortcuts. David Earl knows his stuff and has a laid back way of communicating it. A pleasant experience. He does like to use the word "Draconian" a lot, but who doesn't like the sound of that word. It's just cool. Don't worry though. Unlike under the rule of the Athenian law clerk, Draco, you won't be sentenced to years of slavery for getting it wrong. You just won't like the result of what you're trying to do or it will take you too long to do it, if you don't learn this stuff. Take it slow, take notes and keep them handy for the quiz. Then start using the information to drive it home.

The course is a fantastic insight into many of the possibilities that can be explored using logic pro for mixing and engineering a fairly tinny, and unexciting alternative rock/soul recording into something that is rich, layered and pleasant to listen to. Lots of Logic Pro's specific production functionality is explored and it will give plenty of novices (like me) a great starting point, but also seasoned pro's would find new tricks or reminders of the little gems available.e David's delivery is first class and gives the viewer every opportunity to understand his choices by going through the specifics of each decision he makes, experimenting and explaining why or why not he chooses to do something. Overall this is an outstanding course, that that touches on lots of practical functions in Logic Pro and I'd recommend it highly to anyone who wants to improve their knowledge of mixing, engineering, production, and signal flow in Logic Pro.

I really enjoyed this course, I've got a number of years using DAWs but this has helped me tweak mixes and up my knowledge to be really useful and productive.

This is a very detailed course that gives valuable insight into mixing while also covering several areas outside of it. It was very clear and comprehensible and well structured. Thank you :)

Another great video series from David Earl "SFLogicNinja". Even if you are a working professional, using Logic Pro X daily, you can still learn a lot from this course... A few things have been updated in 10.2 since this was released. But don't let that stop you from getting your mind blown. Lots to learn, and plenty of tips and tricks to make a daily part of your mixing workflow. This is a must watch!
