Hay Steve, I am sorry for the trouble I got the sounds to load. I am new to core and I didn't realize you need to double click the column to the right. Thanks for taking the time to answer this post and for the advice on Scott Freiman. I think that would be a great tutorial. To answer your question I do use a USB directly into my computer from my very old M-Audio 49 key. I never had a setup problem with that keyboard such as needing to installing the disk or assigning the audio device and it always showed up in the Audio Midi setup. I hope you are doing well. Steve, I sent the thread right after I had downloaded the demo. After I got sounds I realized that the sounds were very limited so I wasn't able to use it to see what sounds there are and how they sound but I think that the purchase of all of it would be enough. That's sometime down the road though. What I have been doing lately is going through the Ultrabeat Tutorial several times. I know it's against the thread to say though. I wont say anymore about that. I looked at some of the controls on Kore and I still get that high pitch sound on the top of the attack, as with the EXS-24 but I think the sounds are possible to tweak to sound good. Steve, I only heard a few drum sounds on Kore. While doing the ultrabeat tutorial my goal was to find out what the controls do to the sound and the names of what is happening. An example is the cutoff or center frequency in the noise generator and so on. The reason for this is my habit is to turn the knobs and use my ear to find what sound I like. Now I want to get efficient at using Logic. I think the trick about using Logic is to do the task as quickly as possible so it takes less time so more time is spent creating music. Learning the keyboard shortcuts can save a lot of time.

Hello, I would like to start a thread on the user guides for Reaktor structure. Actually at least three - one for structure one for Modules and Micros and one for Core Cells. I have some background in gates and Boolean algebra but still trying to study this technology. I want to know if all that goes in this thread or should be in separate ones.

Hello, I have noticed that when starting a new sound in Massive that the Macro controls are unassigned except for the first one. I've tried everything but there doesn't seem to be a way to assign them. I am not talking about dragging the crosshair to a empty box after the macro is already assigned. That's easy but not the same as programming the macro control. I use Massive inside Logic 8 running on Mac OS 10.6.8 Thanks, Alan

Hello Gary, no if you select a new instrument from the file menu then the macro selections are empty except for the first micro Vibrato. This isn't the same thing as dragging the crosshair to an empty box. That's modulating with what's already assigned to the macro. If you want to load something into the macros (in the lower right hand corner of the window) you can't assign anything into these such as reverb, delay, fx or anything. If you load an instrument in they are programed into the patch. You can take those and save those as a template by resetting everything else but that's the only way to do it. The user guide states that you can right click to do that in the standalone version but to consult the daw to do that as a plugin. Thanks, Alan
