Hello, I'm glad I found this post. I actually put up another one two years later after this one. What I'm curious about is if people still use these synths - the ones used to design with the structure. I have noticed that the player synths are newer and easier to use but don't include the ability to use in designing synths without a lot of skill. It seems when Native Instruments comes out with a new version a few synths are added but, all the previous synths are included in the newer packages. There's nothing wrong with this because mixing these two together - the old and the new can lead to creativity. But, my question really is; do designers actually still do this structure design or is it out. I notice the new tutorials that come out seem to major on Maschine and some newer stuff found in Komplete.

Hello, I ran across the guitar instrument "Akkord Guitar" and it has a lot of rhythm guitar patterns controlled by one pot and chords controlled by another pot. What I would like to know is if it's possible to edit the rhythm pattern. There are several of them but it seems that it could be more usable if it was possible to put in some variations.

Gary, thanks for letting me know. I use Kontakt 5 now so it isn't possible. I was using Komplete 6 which came with Kontakt 4 or Kontakt 5 for the free player but it seemed to be the Kontakt 4 library. Komplete 6 doesn't work from the external drive running on Mountain Lion because it was a start up disk for an older laptop running the Show Leopard operating system. I think the guitars in Kontakt have some limitations for chords.

Hello, I think this is a great tutorial - "Reaktor Revealed". But, while building the structures in the lessons it seems to stop working when we rewire the circuit in the lesson "Filter Envelope". Then when it's changed back it doesn't work the way it was. I got to a point where I had the multiplier hooked up and then I reverted back and there was no polyphony from the note pitch just a single note. This time around I started to make a separate track with the ensemble saved so its findable -highly recommended! Also, when starting over there's no output through the oscillator. This could be related to something in the properties. I wish there had been more time spent in the other tabs of the preferences because Reaktor latest version has changed and that does effect the ID numbers but its great that some of these are shown during previous lessons. I think its easy to get to the view tab but it would've been great to show these other tabs because we can look at certain aspects we do not know about. But, in spite of that the tutorial does provide a basis for improving our skill in designing in Reaktor. However, there are several variables here that can add to the complexity of the problem: first it's inside The DAW Logic but the new version Logic 10 and using the musical typing keyboard. With other Reaktor instruments there is output when there is no output in the instrument in question. Also, sometimes there is output level when there is no sound. There are also certain differences between the versions. I did it this way because its easier to get a output for me then stand alone mode. So, my question is does anyone else have this problem with Reaktor. I'm really not sure if there are special permission codes required to design some components but I don't think that's really the case. What I want to is there a switch besides the one on the upper right corner of Reaktor's frame. The audio midi in the preferences seem okay. I don't have difficulty understanding what is going on here because I have a good foundation on basic digital electronics at the circuit level but it seems that some important information seems to be hidden. Hello, I noticed a few things I didn't mention and that's why Native Instruments file management is so important: The gate was copied and automatically converted a different module. Also, Note pitch was converted to pitch. I changed it back and it converted it back again.

I searched for this but I didn't locate anything on it. I am looking to create a realistic sounding orchestra starting with strings using Kontakt. I am putting together solo instruments only such as a test cellos and then editing each of them. I was wondering if anyone is getting good results creating a realistic orchestra template. The idea is that if you are triggering a sample over and over the ear picks up that it's a sample and it sound synthetic. Also, each instrument in a real string section plays by starting slightly earlier or later, bows just a little differently, plays different velocities, plays a different instrument than members of the same section and may be sitting in front or behind another player in the section. Panning is not as difficult to produce the effect of being further back on the stage. Also, on Kontakt there is a randomness control. Some of these factors are hard to control and make sound natural but I would be interested in what everyone else is doing.

I have never been able to use Reaktor fx as a effect until last night. I don't what lead me to this confusion but in the main view you can drag effects into Reaktor and that will take you directly to the Reaktor Structure and it's easy to connect up the wires to the outputs. However, the problem is understanding the outputs so if you want to add another device what do you connect it with so that both devices are sounding through left and right? This is a simple thing but if you get this far then everything else is easy unless you can't get a sound from a macro to the output of Reaktor. That may be a question for another time.

Sorry I should have been quicker on the edit. The thing I wanted to say is you can option drag components inside the structure and get more inputs and outputs but at some point if your audio only has outputs 1-2 then you have to combine everything into left and right. That doesn't mean; you want everything to always be in right and left. I've tried combiners before but the outputs never work right.

There are some libraries in ultimate that I wish I had not installed on my 768 flash drive but now I wish I could move them rather than go through delete all kinds of files and then download them again to another drive. Is there a way to do this so that it will work?

Hello, Jonathan Perl is such a great instructor and I just took out another subscription just for Trilian as well as other things. But, when I was viewing some of the lessons on modulating editing he was using what looked like some tools in the environment for monitoring the waveform or the o-scope if we can call it that. I looked around in Logic 10 and I didn't see anything like that in the environment. It may not be okay to answer this question because this information is inside a lot of Logic tutorials as well as this one but if it is it's a very handy way to monitor waveforms for modulation editing which could be useful to many so I thought it might be okay to post the question.
