Hi Steve. Just watched Volume 1. Great series!!! In a future video I would like to see ANY advanced Soft Synth tips & Tricks. Specifically- Some example of Soft Synth Side-Chain routing. Side-Chain Inputs using the (gasp) Environment. Possible rhythmic modulations. Throwing some effects in this mix. I've been trying to get my head around this and well... that's why I'm here! :) Thanks Steve!

Just wanted to add to the praise Steve. The power of the Environment never ceases to amaze me. Apple should get you to write the manual! Actually, this made me think that I could use the Environment to create a virtual "chord memory" object. I'll have to try that out or maybe that could be a new tutorial-- if it's even possible. Great episode!

The price is CRAZY. $299 upgrade from Logic Express ... and since I never purchased any Jam Packs the 5(!) included seems like icing on the cake! Awesome deal! Check out Mainstage. It sorta reminds me of what I always wanted Native Instruments KORE to be. A sort of super-mixer. Nice job Apple!!

I just watched Chapter One. Great start Martin! I'm looking forward to the next chapter on Apple loops! ... and, Since some have mentioned a series of tutorials on the "step by step" of creating an actual song using the Logic interface in this thread already, I just wanted to chime in my agreement and willingness to purchase such a series. If we could see how you build a song, lay out tracks, record vocals, live instruments, utilize automation, software instruments & FX it would be enormously helpful. I don't think any of us care what the song is or need to hear or see the actual thought process behind the song and it's arrangement. We're interested in the object orientated mechanics of song creation using Logic. There are times in my workflow when I just KNOW I'm doing things the hard way and it would be great to see from you or Steve that either a) there is no other way or b) here is THE EASIER way. Maybe it could be your Xmas title? :) You guys put out the greatest tutorials. Looking forward to Friday!!

Just a polite dissent. :) I have my drive checked to "Sleep Whenever Possible." That's how I received my computer from Apple and I have seen no data to say that their default is harmful or unwise. The stock drive I received with my G4 in 2003 still works and I have never had a drive fail on me. I have six - all Seagate. If anyone has any data that Apples default is wrong I'd love to hear it. I don't want to hurt my precious drives. Very interesting topic. :D

Well, look at that. Eps 1-9 are unplayable on my system as well. The duration of the episodes show zero. I looked in the package User/Documents/NED/Logic8101.prgm Control click - Show Package Contents The file .mov files ARE there but they're unplayable. macProVideo people? What do you think the problem is? How do we fix it?

I just clicked "Update" in NED and the problem with "Logic 101 Mastering Logic 8" has disappeared. Great job. Also, when I clicked "Update" two of the other tutorials i purchased form your company - "Logic 205: Synthesis With Sculpture" & "Logic 204 Ultrabeat Unleashed" also updated. I just gave them a quick look and noticed that the tutorials (originally for Logic 7) have been [b]brought up to date with new Logic 8 refinements and changes?! FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/b] Skimming through them... I see there are some minor glitches with the audio & video on the newly updated Tuts ("Logic 204 Ultrabeat Unleashed" tutorial 02's audio & the repeating title windows in "Logic 205: Synthesis With Sculpture" immediately jump out) but, I know you guys will figure that out. ;) Thank you for some great tutorials and awesome customer service!
