I doesn''t seem like a major overhaul. C.

Seems pretty big to me; New UI, (wonder about screenshots - no need for them anymore?), multi-take and comping, soundtrack and mainstage, includes all the jam packs, and more for $499. I like the new duo channel strip and the way the main page looks - I also use Final Cut, so it seems right in line with that. I am pretty excited about it.

... and the environment is still there. :-)

I take that back, I just finished viewing the screenshots and it loosk good. I am happy about the Final Cut. NO DONGLE!!! Hurray....I can keep it on my G5 and my macbook now without having to swap the dongle!! Does anypne know if you can upgrade from LP7 Academic? C.

The price is CRAZY. $299 upgrade from Logic Express ... and since I never purchased any Jam Packs the 5(!) included seems like icing on the cake! Awesome deal! Check out Mainstage. It sorta reminds me of what I always wanted Native Instruments KORE to be. A sort of super-mixer. Nice job Apple!!

so.... How soon can we see some Logic 8 tutorials!!!!
