I just imported an mp3 file into logic an with flex time slowed it down. I tried to change the key by clicking and draging on the transpose option but no change occured. How can I get a succesful change in key? Thanks

Steve, I loved the information in the new TNT3. I would like to know what would be the possibility of you creating other lessons on how to produce many other interesting sounds? The two examples you gave just made me longing for more. I've been trying to figure out how to make, for example, a couple of overtones within a sound more pronounced or make the effects acting upon them more pronounced without effecting the whole sound or any other part of it, except the over tones themselves, but I haven't got a clue how to do something like that. I've tried turning knobs and listening carefully but nothing I do seems to changed the certain sounds or effects within a sound that I'm looking to change. I've gone through many of the Logic tutorials but they don't really help me in this particular problem I'm having, so if there can be a future TNT devoted to this subject, that would be great.

I'll give that a try. Where can I learn more about these ways to manipulate sound? I would never have thought to try your suggestion on my own. Did you learned this "tip" from someone or a book or did you just experiment on your own, which I've not had great success doing? Hi, I was watching the tutorial on building a randomizer and noticed two tracks that were created to write in midi data. I actually just learned how to do that a couple of weeks ago and forgot how to do create this kind of track. It was named MIDI IN. Can I get a little reminder on how to create that track so I can toss a randomizer on top of it? Thanks, Clifford

Thank you Rounik. I did drag the randomizer on to an instrument track that had some notes on it but when played the track, there was no sound at all. So I guess that it was the wrong kind of track. I also control click on the track header but those options didn't seem to work either, so, I will take the great suggestions and see if I can get some randomized sound. thanks for you continuous help :) C..

Rounik, where you say "Make sure there's a midi region.." am I correct in thinking that by "midi region", you mean midi data that has been added to a track? Just want to make sure I understand exactly what you are telling me to do. Thanks again!
