I use the laptop keyboard. each time I hit a key to make a sound a piano sound plays even if I am using conga drums in the sampler "....24" in Logic

Hola again. I am using M-Audio Pro Sessions Producer Afro-Cuban Percussion MULTiFORMAT DYNAMiCS in the EXS 24 sampler. I only have a few instrument tracks being used at the same time with prerecorded trombones parts. I didn't know where to look on the laptop's keyboard to find a way to turn off or on anything. Oh, there was at one point where I was able to play the conga sound or trombone samples without that piano being in the way, but that didn't last long and I don't know what I did to make it revert back again right away. Also, even though the piano samples were sounding off at the same time, they don't record into the track when I listen back, there is just the instrument that I intended to use. Hope you can help.

Also, I'm using a pop piano through the exs 24 and violins are sounding at the same time. Frustrated to say the least.

Hi Rounik, its not making that double sounds now. I'm going to guess that perhaps, that is exactly what is happening, that I had two buttons enabled. I have many tracks and didn't notice two red buttons at the same time. I'm guessing of course. I guess I will find out the next time that occurs. Thank you for your suggestion.

In the audio menu, the convert region files to audio files along with other options is greyed out. I tried freezing the tracks but that takes around 30 minutes to do them all at the same time. Problem is that I'm constantly changing file or their position so I have to unfreeze a track then freeze it again so Logic doesn't keep overloading. I don't want to make an apple loop out of the many small region files that I have on each of the tracks, there are so many of them. I just want to convert each file that I'm sure about, to an audio file so I can get something done working with Logic. Help? Thanks, C..

When a sample is created from an audio file in Logic 9 can it then be used to create notation in the notation editor? Qualitydag

Never mind my question. Just found out about audio to score.

I have Logic 8 and upgraded to 9. I was wondering if the three Garage Band CDs and the other Audio Content CDs are extra files that Logic 8 doesn't have?
