Hi Cubot, Ahh, I seem to recall that Express only has a Sum arrow on the Physical Input ... one of the limitations of express I guess, so you may not be able to follow along exactly with the tutorial. Sorry! I should have made note of that ...

They just send the exact same signal out ... everytime you drag out a cable, a new arrow is created ... that way you can send the same signal to multiple other objects in the environment, which has it's verious uses.

Hi Lawrence, The Logic 101 takes you from start to finish, in a long, 5 hour excurssion ... :) The demo files for the Logic programs are not included because the files we use are apple loops that just come with Logic, so you should be able to find them in your Loop browser, just like in the tutorial lessons. You can also use loops of any type you want and follow along, there-by making a song that sounds as you like. The big idea is to cover the principles, and not an exact work flow with set source media as the Apple Pro Training series might do ... personally, I don't think that's the best way to learn, even though I write those books quite often (at least, in the past).

Write to Apple and hope for the best. Fortunatly, it's pretty rare. I've only ever blown up 1 key, and I did that by literally blowing it up ... plugged the wrong power supply into my USB hub ... doh!!

Losing it is really the issue ... those keys tend to have feet, especially if you are in public situations like a school or something, where people know what that key represents. As for them breaking, that's pretty rare. I've oonly actually heard of 1 instance, from somebody posting earlier in this forum! And of course, my meltdown ... :)

You'll probably have to program your own custom multi-instrument, which isn't hard, though it is time consuming. You could also check the web, or even Korg's site to see if they have some pre-configured Logic Multi-Instruments. In the past, korg has been pretty good at this ... not sure if they are still ...

The plugin window is a floating window (you can tell by the shorter, squared-of title bar) and like all floating windows in all software apps, it is not typically able to accept keyboard input unless "specifically" targeted. If you try undoing, you just undo the last action in the last floating window you used. Darn ... This also happens if you turn a normal window into a floating window, which you cna do by holding Option as you open a window. The only key commands I'm aware of for plugin windows is the Next Setting and Previous Setting key commands, which cycle through the plugin presets ... and BTW, these are extremely important to your workflow, so try experimenting with them!!

That's awesome! Automation curves are one of my favorite parts of Logic Pro ... I'm happy they've trickled into Logic Express!! Thanks for letting us know!

I just updated to 10.4.9 too ... what a drag ... I'm revalidating all my AU plugins as I type ... it takes FOREVER!!! Still though, it always pays to have the latest OS release ...
