Re: January TNT.... What should it be???
Someone had suggested a tutorial on Buses and Auxes awhile back. That might be a cool one. http://www.macprovideo.com/forum/logic/tips-n-tricks&id=4453 But I would appreciate any tutorials on learning how to get the best mix in Logic. Thanks! Beder

I think a tutorial on Touch Tracks in the environment would be cool. They are rarely mentioned but very powerful live style sequencing tools. Steve is definitely the one person who could demystify this for us.

I too would like like some more on the environment in LP8.. Also, maybe I missed it somehow, but I don't remember the midi controller assignments in Ultrabeat being covered. This section is very vague in the manual. I try what the manual says but cant control any parameters on my drum pad mid controller. I am trying to map my drum pad knobs to control volume, decay, and pitch and so on... but on a voice per voice basis. Meaning one knob controls the volume of any selected voice. This way with auto select on, I always have a knob for the pan, pitch, vol, decay and so on for that selected voice. Playing around with controller assignments has it controlling only one voice instead of each selected voice independently. However, I am a Logic noob so I may be missing something that is blinding obvious... Yet, I would LOVE to be enlightened! Thanks for the great work and Happy New Year!!

Hi Steve, I imagine that you're well on the way with this months up your sleeve tutorials but my recent experiments have really highlighted that I'm crap with the transform function and converting internal signals to other signals to manipulate other... signals. Any help in this area would be much appreciated from my point of view... and if you know anyone out there with some trick environments that we could have look at that would be choice! Swiftkick.com is a good resource but I have had compatibility issues in the past seeing as a lot of it was written on much older versions of logic.

Awesome! I am looking forward to it. Sometimes we get technical without consideration of the object of making music. Thanks.

Tuba synthesis would be a great tutorial providing you can show how to construct a great song from it using the various "tools"ALL in combination to do it - Ultrabeat sequencer, regions, step sequencer in action, Hyper editor, and piano roll editor ALL used together to make that tuba song scream, and flow like Igor know's how to play it live!:)

Please dive way deeper into the arpeggiators/chord memorizer/delay line (performance environment objects) How to control their parameter by the different faders/knobs. This time please do this so thoroughly that also offline bouncing of such performance helpers actually 'work' (if possible at all, a workaround would be fine as well!) I've watched the arpeggiators section of the TNT tutorials already and they do not get very practical to the end.

Hi gulplug. Welcome to MacProVideo forums! AFAIK it's not possible to bounce an arpeggiated instrument offline. You can either bounce in realtime (if that's a problem solo the arp'd track and bounce just that in realtime) or you can route the output from the arp'd track to a bus. Then on an audio track select the Input as the same bus. That way you can record in realtime in Logic's Arrange window :-) For "how to control parameters by different faders and knobs" - do you mean using a MIDI controller to control a plugin's paramaters? If so check out this thread: http://www.macprovideo.com/forum/logic/logic-pro-express&id=5823&sid=#5827 Cheers Rounik
