This tutorial mentioned learning one keyboard short cut a day instead of trying to learn several at once. One a day will help me to remember them. Very good advice.

As Mark demonstrates thoroughly in this course, InDesign is actually quite simple, yet very powerful. A program that seems daunting is made quite accessible by his smooth teaching process.
