    Lost with new i-Mac!
Just purchased a new i-mac (7.1) w/intel and I can t get any of the versions of FCP I had on my old Mac to work -- Someone told me that it is possible to download the latest software using Tomato Torrent ... I have downloaded this appliction but have absolutely no clue as to what I need to do to download FCP using this system -and for it to work on my new i-Mac -- If anyone knows another way to solve this problem without spending a lot of money please let me know asap - as I am a student-artist and very poor these days!

I'm new to this mac thing but I found this in another forum and it worked. Control-Click on the Final Cut Pro application and select show package contents. Open the contents folder and open info.plist. Search for AGP replace it with PCI. Before saving the info.plist file make a copy for backup. Save and close the file. Open FCP1, and voila it works. I'm just learning FCP do you have and tutorials. [email protected]

Just got your message -- Thanks for the info -- although I got it all the way to the info.plist-- it keeps opening into my Mail application?! Do you also have a new i-mac/intel?

Yes new Imac also. Use the Textedit application to open up the info.plit file. If you can't find go to you application section.

I'd suggest that you consider reinstalling from the original disks. You DO have the original disks that you purchased legally?
