Logic and Duet2

Hi All, I was wondering how the conversion process is achieved through duet2 in logic. Does it happen through the UVH22HR option when bouncing a track? I am confused about this. I would appreciate your help. Thanks!

Hi Gary, Yes, I was referring to both processes. Thank you. One last thing, I've heard that the UVH22HR is highly recommended when bouncing a track in logic. Is this algorithm enabled in apogee interfaces only (including duet)?

Logic on iMac

Hi All, I just installed 32 gigs of RAM in my iMac, and I am wondering how can I get the most out of it in Logic. I am already running the program as 64-bit, and I've played around with buffer sizes. Is there anything else I need to know to take more advantage of the RAM installed? I would very much appreciate any recommendation. Thanks, Isr

Thank you Rounik. I was just wondering if I had missed something else to optimize my system. It definitely runs so smoothly. I installed the spectrasonics plugins, and I could notice a huge difference. Can't wait to start working on a large project and see the results! Cheers, fvs

Dithering
Apr 10th, 2013, 11:36
Hello! I have a question regarding dithering when bouncing a track -usually 24-bit at 48kHz. I got three dithering options, POW-r #1, 2 and 3 + Apogee UV22HR. I've been using the apogee one since I have the duet, but does it really work with this interface or should I use any other type of dither? Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, fvs

Thank you Rounik! I did a couple of tests, and I certainly did find the UV22HR the best to use :) cheers, isrmusic

Thank you BenB. I was just wondering if Logic has this kind of filter. Are there any tutorials on this?
