I would like to "ditto" Glapor--I teach Logic also, I studied all the tutorials and have taken the cert. classes. The tutorials are a GREAT bargain--a live class with the same instructional time would easily cost hundreds of dollars. . . and the search feature in the NED player is perfect for finding exactly what you want exactly when you really need it. This saves time, and time, as they say, is $ You figure it out.

Martin-- These are great videos! I just got home with my update when I saw that your videos had been posted. After watching them I just couldn't wait to install--doing that right now with fingers crossed! Thanks to you I will be finding my way around right away. You, Steve, and Igor are the best!

The 1 day wait was not too long for me--the install was simple, and I have already had time to explore the things that you demonstrated. I really like what I see, but I know that there are so many new things waiting to be discovered. I look forward to the new Logic 8 tutorials, and I think that the concept of the "Tips" subscription is very forward-thinking, and so very well done. Thank you for helping all of us so much.

You don't have to transfer them--they should appear in your Logic software instruments when you click on the input of the channel strip. The file path will be: Stereo/Logic/Garageband Instruments/(choose instrument)

Go to Logic>Preferences>Display>Display Middle C as C4 Roland. This should work for you.

Sadly it is not possible to use logic's plug-ins in stand alone mode.

I also found these tutorials most helpful. I was going through TNT withdrawal, and Lessons 29 and 30 filled that void for me. I wouldn't have thought of flexing an apple loop like that, and I am downloading Jordan Rudess' "Notes on a Dream" right now. I really enjoy his music, and will get more in the future, so thanks for introducing his great music in these perfectly sequenced tutorials. Now I'm off to experiment!
