    So say you have a sample thats one shot duration plays out for 3 seconds, but then you press another key so there are 2 samples playing at once so they clash together. This is what i'm trying to figure out. I want to be able to press a key to play one note, press another key and have it kill the first note that was playing and play the key that i just hit. I believe in the old esx sampler you would switch the playable voices to 1, and then select mono so that only one voice is able to play at a time. Please help!

    Hi - You can still do that in Sampler [remember Sampler *is* still EXS behind the fancy new GUI] -- the same parameters are still there, though they may be found in different places now: The One Shot setting is in the Zone pane, and the Polyphony/Mono setting is in the Synth pane, under the Details sub-panel. You can also do the same thing in Quick Sampler [One-Shot option at the top; Polyphony under the Amp section].
