Missing tutorials 1-9 and 137-157....
Hi, I just used NED for Windows to Update the Logic 8 101 tutorial. The download was extremely quick. However I think it was because none of the movies had been downloaded! When I go to: My Ned--> Logic 8 101--> Video, there are only videos 1-136. When I launch NED, lessons 137-157 appear in red with no duration time. Also, lessons 1-9 have a duration time of 00:00 but are in black. Is this a Windows only issue? Anyone else having the same problems? Thanks in advance for your help. Regards, Mo.

This is not just a PC problem. I have a Mac and I'm having the same trouble. As I wrote in my previous post, I've tried all the trouble-shooting tips on both the NED help list and those suggested here in the forums, but nothing works. I guess I'll wait 'til Monday when tech support gets back from the weekend.

I have the same problem here too. 137 to 157 only appear in RED. Whenever I launch NED, it tells me "The previous tutorial update was not completed. Do you want to resume the update?" I hit Yes, Logic 8 101.prgm.zip starts to download, then the download side of the page goes completely blank! I notice the above messages were posted about 3 days ago. Has this issue been resolved for you yet, and if so, could you please let me know the solution? Thanks in advance. EDIT: I hadn't noticed before, but 1-9, despite being in BLACK, are 00:00 in duration as well.

Hi Guys, I have a similar problem: Videos 01 - 09 are in Black but have 00:00 Time... and as a consequence do not play. Videos 137-157 are all fine. Ta, Bj

To restore your first 9 lessons, you need to reset NED's preferences. To do this, please follow these steps: MAC NED 1. Make sure NED is not running. 2. Open your Finder 3. Go to: your user account > Library > Preferences 4. Find the NED_Player.plist file and delete it. 5. Re-open NED and click "Tutorials" 6. Re-enter in your information; NED will download the tutorials you are missing. WINDOWS NED 1. Make sure NED is not running. 2. Open your My Documents > My NED folder (Documents > My NED for Vista users) 3. Delete the MyTutorials.xml file 4. Empty Recycle Bin 5. Re-open NED and click "Tutorials" 6. Re-enter in your information; NED should download the tutorials you are missing.

Hi Gosia Thanks for your reply. Your instructions unfortunately cause NED to want to re-download EVERYTHING(!) all over again! I'm only on a 128kbps ISDN connection here - re-downloading ALL the chapters again is no small task for me! Numbers 1-136 are still in my Logic 8 101 Video folder, yet 1-9 in NED show no duration and do not play. 10-136 all play fine, and 137-157 still need to be downloaded. Surely there's a way for me to not have to re-download 1-136 all over again??? I had to do this when the last round of chapters were added. There's got to be a better system than this! Please tell me there's a way I can get 1-9 viewable again, and how I can add 137-157 to my currently working chapters without having to download everything in-between again. Thanks again for your help.

Hi guys, I just launched NED and selected Update again. Tutorials 1-9 are viewable again and this time, tutorials 137-157 have been downloaded (along with the other 136!!!). I just wish there was a way of resolving this issue without having to download all of the previous tutorials from scratch. Thankfully my wireless broadband modem is working ok at the moment - it likes to cut-out at the most inappropriate moments... =) I hope the rest of you are able to get things working!! I look forward to the next set of videos =D Kind regards, Mo.
