    Browser "categories" problem
Help Please! I've loaded media into a new project, and some of the longer video clips were automatically put into the top section of the browser titled "Folder". The rest of them were put in a separate, lower section titled "Quicktime movie". It's confusing, and I can't figure out why they're in different areas of the browser, or how to make changes.

Hi - Maybe this section from the FCPX manual will help? https://support.apple.com/guide/final-cut-pro/organize-files-during-import-ver392f50c2/10.4.7/mac/10.14 I'm not a FCPX guy so I don't have it installed here to check, but I've linked this thread to one of our FCPX courses that's specifically all about importing and organizing clips—it seems likely that it may have exactly the kind of information you're looking for.. In case one of our FCPX gurus checks out this thread and is able to offer some guidance, it might help to clarify a couple of things.. - What type of "media" are these files? - Are all the files the same type (same extension), or different types? - Did you import them all at once, or individually?
