I am using Final Cut pro 5.1.4... And when I go to capture I get the message Preview Disabled. Other forums suggest that this could be a Quicktime problem do to recent updates. If so how do I delete Quicktime so I can install it again.

This may be a very simple thing... Re-check your firewire, if it is correctly connected to your camera AND computer. Sometimes the connector plug is not really in and FCP can't find your camera. When you capture, check at the bottom, the VTR status, if it is not connected, the preview will be disabled. If it says VTR ok, it should work. Good luck. Hisham
