hello! i just bought a tutorial video for ableton live, and im excited. coz, lately i've been reading articles about it., how efective the software-- im sure it's gonna be a good ride for me. i work mostly on garageband., i'm new in this field, and i'm still not familiar with terms or topic or even how to use a software. it's kinda rough for me. but with the tutorial video im expecting to learn more about ableton live and use it with garageband. looking forward and i can't wait! hehehe!! i should've downloaded it instead of getting the dvd, now i have to wait for at least a week. ahh!!! tim

sir martin, do you think i can use my macbook on ableton and garageband? or even pro tools? as long as i add more RAM and put an EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE it'll be okey right? and is there really a big differece if i use macbookpro compare to macbook? tim

sir martin, thanks for the advice. uhmm,regarding on my problem using ableton -- since i downloaded the uprgaded version of your lesson i am now slowly learning some parts of it. the thing is when i use my built in microphone on ableton for recording it works,i mean i can put effects,mix it..etc.. but when i plug my axiom or blackbox-- it doesn't work. before i can see waveforms, but now there's none. i guess your right it's hard for you and me to solve this problem through text. i'm thinking now my last resort would be-- going to guitar center,ask someone who can help me in person (where they can install again the software and do the connections) i think it's the connection between my axioms,ableton and my mac. hmm,,well i have to work on it. but still im excited to learn ableton.. i can't wait anymore. tim

sir martin, oh i forgot to tell,, i also bought one of your books about ableton, TIPS and TRICKS for ABLETON 5. isn't that nice-- im having this conversation with the author. wow!! well, im really hoping that all of this problem will be solved as soon as possible. thanks again! tim

i just bought an m-audio blackbox and axiom 25. and it comes with a free software called ableton live. i installed it in my macbook right away, and i find it hard to use--because first, i don't have that much background about using softwares like that. and second i dont know where to start., i went to the site--read articles about it, read the manual, but still im having a hard time figuring it out. so, i bought a tutorial dvd about ableton.i bought the dvd, so im still waiting,, i thought its easy as garageband... but i dont know... everybody says it easy-- out of the box you can use it ryt away. i need some advice. thanks., tim

yeh i did went to ableton's site and downloaded the upgraded version-- they sent me the serial no. but it's not working-- invalid no. so i guess i have to buy the full version of it. the ableton live 6 ryt?? and the thing is when i use my black box or my axiom on live-- i can see that it's recording but there's no sound. but when i use their demo sound or instrument, it works. hmmm..,, so now i guess i have to study more on this software. but still im excited coz i know this one really good! hehehe!!

i forgot!--- thanks for the reply! are you a dj? or in a band? coz im planning to use this software more on recording instruments.do you think it'll work?? or do i have to have a other software like reason--??

sir martin, so, do i have to get a plug in for ableton? or just by itself it'll work? yes i can see waveforms but when i play it back-- there's no sound at all. i've checked my audio i/O, everythings ON. (im using m-audio's blackbox and axiom25) i guess your right i need someone who will show me how to do it step by step. i'm xcited to see the video, but i have to wait coz i've got the dvd. can i use garageband to ableton or ableton to garage? thank you sir, tim

alex, thanks man! im a drummer too. the last band that im in was a funk band. now im playing jungle drumNbass. and planning to do some RnB stuff. i see your from france--man i wanna go there!
