I haven't got the 'Environment' Tutorial yet - so, please excuse me if this is already covered [or, better yet, let me know so I'll get it:], but ever since Sounddiver was kicked to the curb, I haven't been able to manage my external synths very easly. I'd like to learn more about how to manage, control and incorporate my external synths [Waldorf, Nord, etc] into the environment better using the the tools in Logic. I've read a bit of stuff off of forums, but a lot of it just flies over my head.

I just did this [I made 25 split screens]. Pretty easy, if time consuming - but I just placed the videos on top of each other and then used the transform tool to resize each of the videos to the proper size [cmd-drag is your friend to keep them relative]. If you want them side by side, shouldn't be too hard. You can even use the feathering tool to blend them. Also, if you want sections, you'll have to crop them as opposed to shrinking them. -Ben

Hi there, I'm new here to the video realm [been doing audio for a long time]. MPV has enabled me to hit the ground running! So, I'm busily knocking out some projects. Thanks! Now, for my question. I'm finding that my learning curve is hindered because I'm not sure of some terminology...BUT, I'm starting to dig in to attempting FX in Motion5 and/or FCPX. Currently, I'd like to alter the eye color of my subject on the video I'm working with. Basically they have brown eyes now, but I'd like to make them fully 'black' [like, all evil 'n stuff]. Can someone give me some workflow advice to get me going? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!! Ben

Hey Guys, I have a pretty good understanding of filtering and effects chaining and such but I could use an 'aha' moment when it comes to creating sounds with the tools I have. I've read the contents of what you cover in the Sound Tutorial, it only seems to cover a certain aspect of sound - like waves and filtering. I'd like to have a better understanding of sound creation via oscillators and modulation and such so that I can apply that knowledge to some of the tools I already have such as Reaktor, Arp2600, etc. Basically, once I get into patching and such, I get completely lost because I don't have a great understanding of the relationships each section has to the other. Am I missing something you already have? Or would an expansion to the 'sound' tutorial make sense? Ben
