Hey everyone, I recently bought a Rodes Lavier mic because I am starting to make some videos. The connection is a TRRS and I plug it into my mic/speaker input on my Macbook. The recording works fine in screenflow and Logic. The problem I have is I want to be able to hear myself and the sounds from my computer. Is there an interface I can use that will allow me to plug in a TRRS mic input and also a set of headphones for monitoring?

Hey does anyone know how to cut time in Logic? I want to cut some bars out of my song so that everything infront snaps back (including automation). You can do it in Pro Tools but I can't work it out in Logic. I'm using Logic Pro 8. Does anyone know?

Hey Christian, Thank for your help. I did see that menu option but I was selecting the time instead of the bars. I have been using Logic for about a year. I taught myself how to use the program so it took longer than other software which I learn while studying at SAE (Pro Tools, Reason, Live etc). It's a shame they don't teach Logic since its such an awesome app. The videos here have helped a lot.

Does anyone know if you can save a session created in Logic 8 as a Logic 7 session? I haven't gone through the recent tutorials so it may be in there.

Hey peepz, I have a problem when adding compressors to channels. I hear crackling and by bypassing the compressor it goes away. Anyone know how to fix this? I have about five compressors on the channel because I use sidechaining a lot.

I need help I am running Logic 9 and I have Waves plugins, Native Instruments Komplete 8 and a Virus Snow. When I open Logic now all my Waves plugins and Native Instruments soft synths have disappeared. Also when I plug my virus into my Macbook it doesn't get recognised. I have tried factory resetting and upgrading the firmware on the Virus. I haven't tried reinstalling the NI because it is massive 260GB or something. I haven't tried reinstalling Waves but the other stuff is more important. What do I do? Please help! I am running a Macbook Pro 10.8.2

Yes everything used to work well. The only change I can think of is upgrading to Mountain Lion. I haven't installed any other software since then. Have there been any problems with OS X?

Hey Gary, When I go to Logic > Preferences > Audio Units Manager no windows opens. Just nothing happens. I have tried reinstalling Logic and it hasn't fixed the problem. I checked and my Native Instruments and Virus software are all up to date. I also tried running the Waves AU Reg Utility. I have another hard drive running 10.7 and when booting off that drive everything works fine. So the problem is definitely something to do with 10.8. Is it possible to downgrade the OS?
