    Mastering with Logic Pro X
Hello, Following the release of the tremendous Logic Pro X and the great series of tutorials made by MacProVideo on this new version of the app, I would like to suggest one or two more tutorials: 1) Mastering with Logic Pro X - Fundamentals 2) Mastering with Logic Pro X - Advanced techniques Even if I agree with the fact that the Steinberg Wavelab 7 software is certainly more appropriate for mastering purposes than Logic Pro, I think the Apple audio software could do a great job as well. Furthermore, the previous versions of Logic Pro had a predefined project template for mastering work which apparently is no longer available in the latest version of the app. Here is below some of the topics which could be outlined: - considering mixing constraints and techniques for mastering purpose (as an introduction and to link mixing and mastering steps in the workflow) - create a customized template for a mastering project for both use cases: starting from stereo and multi-channels audio source files - Set up the Logic Pro X preferences according to the mastering constraints - Identify the most appropriate plugins either from the Logic Collections or from third-party providers catalogs for the mastering work - Provide some examples of plugins organization and set up into the channel strip according to some short and various genres of music. In addition to this, these tutorials might be the appropriate place to talk about the M/S techniques. I think these one or two courses could be an interesting extension to the Logic Pro X series and I am pretty sure that it will be a great starting point for home producers. Best regards. Bruno

I would like to see this too. I have been watching all the Logic Pro X videos. I'd also like to see something on Sound Forge. A great program newly available on the Mac and there are now videos on it.

Hi, I had some time to kill so I've created an EDM Mid/Side Mastering Template with Logic Pro X Stock plugins. Let me know if it's useful! :) Here's the link: https://copy.com/XDpW0twglGXAFrVo If you have any questions let me know! Tony Verdult www.tonyverdult.com

I'm really glad to see these new tutorials on Logic x. One thing I would like to view is something on mastering for radio. Universal Audio has a precision plugin bundle and I would like to know about mastering using these plugins. In general their plugins are vintage so more warm then others but there are some videos on iZotope's Ozone 5 Advanced incorporating certain features that produce a strong stereo signal for broadcasting over the radio. This is just my impression but it sounds like to me that this may be a requirement for mastering for radio. It seems that there are more than a few new features in Logic x for audio processing plugins and mastering possibilities exist now that may not have on previous versions. I agree that it would be very interesting to see the power of Logic plugins for mastering in action. On Mixing and Mastering I sometimes view the tutorials on Waves done with Manny Marroquin but, to me the lessons don't seem to give instruction on using these tools to get these results. This may be immaterial because few musicians have this type of studio but I'm sure he does a lot of routings and that could translate into a great lesson. I am not sure if this should be in a different thread but I thought it would be okay here due to the relationship between mixing and mastering. Also, this being a thread on Mastering inside Logic x I'm not sure if we're only concerned with using Logic plugins only.
