    Moog Subharmonicon Explored
The Subharmonicon is a unique semi-modular desktop synthesizer from Moog. Inspired by early (and very rare) electronic instruments from the 1930s and 1940s (the Trautonium and the Rhythmicon), the Subharmonicon offers a 6-tone sound engine, multiple tuning systems, a patchbay, and a polyrhythmic sequencer. It's definitely not a traditional subtractive synthesizer, and that's where Rishabh Rajan's new course "Moog Subharmonicon Explored" comes in.. The course covers every aspect of the synth, from the heritage of the instrument to its novel polyrhythmic sequencer and versatile semi-modular functionalities. It starts with a brief history lesson on the Subharmonicon's ancestors, the Trautonium and the Rhythmicon, followed by an overview of the front panel, and then a deep dive into every feature of this powerful instrument, including its 2 VCOs and the 4 Sub oscillators, Pulse Width modulation, the VCA, the Moog ladder filter, and the flexible patchbay, before wrapping up with the powerful polyrhythmic sequencer. For those who finds themselves intrigued by the possibilities of this distinctive new synth, this course will be required viewing on the way to mastering the Moog Subharmonicon.
