New Course: Deconstructing CINEMA
Apr 4th, 2022, 12:52
In this new course in the Dance Music Masters series 'Deconstructing CINEMA' OddKidOut shows how the new single CINEMA was created in Ableton Live. The course details how the track was conceived, the creative decisions, and how the unique sound was achieved.
The course starts off with a look back at the genesis of the track, and how vocals (performed by singer/songwriter Marlhy) were edited to start crafting the song. It then shows how the harmonic and melodic parts were constructed and processed, and how they evolve during the song. The course also demonstrates how OKO processed the 808s and sub to get clean but aggressive bass parts, the approach taken to create bouncy drum beats, and the techniques used to create variations. There are also tricks to create dynamic arrangements and tips to increase productivity and efficiency in the studio.
'Deconstructing CINEMA' is a worthy addition to the Dance Music Masters series, and a must-see for dance music producers who want to take their productions to the next level.
