    Logic tends to freeze
Hi There: When I have two projects open at once, Logic Pro X tends to freeze up. It did not do this on my old Mac book pro. I am running it on a new 27 inch iMac with 32Gb ram. Any ideas? Thank you Graham

Hi Graham - Though it's possible to have two Logic Projects open at once, it's *always* been problematic—issues may be intermittent or not show up on every system but they've been widely reported [I've experienced it myself]. As far back as I can remember the unofficial recommendation has always been to only open one Project at a time, and I'd strongly second that. You can still copy & paste back & forth, and use Import to bring elements from one Project into another, without risking instability or corruption by opening more than one Project.

Thank you Joe. Is there a video lesson that can point me in the right direction as far as copying over tracks from one project to the next. Thanks again. G

Hi G - You can use Logic's Browser to bring in just about whatever you want from one Project to another (see screenshot).. You'd navigate to a Logic Project and open it in the Browser -- there you'll see a list of elements in that Project [channel strips, plug-ins, content (Regions), sends, automation], and you can select specifically what you want to import from each track. The course attached above also shows using the Browser to bring in audio files (video # 13)..

For anyone seeing this forum thread only now, there is a new course called ‘Logic pro templates and project management’, which specifically has videos discussing importing entire projects or parts of projects.
