tutorials needed for Logic, VSL, VE Pro, VI Pro
Hi Steve! Congratulations on your promotion to the position as Publisher, at macProvideo.com!!! I've been privileged to watch this company grow since it's inception. I've learned much and greatly enjoyed each and every tutorial I've studied. I have to say your tutorials are among my most favorite. You have a real knack for teaching the material in a way that is really useful and with a fun delivery! I hope there are many more tutorials to come from you. I have a request for some very needed training tutorials. I fell there is a niche market for these. I'm a Logic user who has purchased VSL sample libraries, VE Pro and VI Pro. If you get onto the VSL forum you see the constant confusion of the new people trying to get up and running, particularly Logic users. This is largely because of the limitations in the AU standard Apple/Logc uses, CC changes, etc. But there is no training and it is a mess, all the way to properly saving viframes, metaframes, etc. I saw, I believe in the LogicProHelp forum, that you were using, or helping someone use VSL and VE Pro. I wonder if you'd be able to whip up some great tutorials on these topics - setting up orchestral templates, getting into the guts of the VI interface with articulation changes; VI pro, etc. There's lots of stuff that could be explored here. Many Logic users want these tutorials, especially me :) What do you say? All the best, Barbara

Hi Barbara, While I was at NAMM I was talking with the VSL guys about this very subject. It's definitely on my radar. Thanks for your suggestions and your compliments! Steve (and Igor)

Hi Steve! This is wonderful news! I look forward to these tutorials - with great anticipation. Thanks! I've studied the sketchy VSL manual, as well as Jay Asher’s book, Going Pro With Logic Pro 9, and it's interesting to me how these two sources have you open a new empty project in Logic with a software instrument with 16 MIDI channels to work with VE Pro. Whereas Tobias Esher, whose done an interesting tutorial now available on the VSL web site has much more detail and a different approach - see http://www.vsl.co.at/en/68/141/460/1961/1627.htm . There's an interesting thread between the 2 men at http://community.vsl.co.at/forums/p/27828/181352.aspx#181352 . I'm most curious about what your approach will be, Steve and Igor. Looking forward to it :) All the best, Barbara
