I want to run an external Synth through Ringshifter, and use the Ring modulator tool specifically. So far no luck in setting this up. Any suggestions to do this?

The easiest way would be to create an Instrument Track and load the External Instrument plug-in (Instrument menu > Utility > External Instrument). That would let you send MIDI notes you play/record in Logic to the external synth, and bring the audio from the synth back into the same Channel Strip, where it would flow through and be processed by an inserted Ringshifter plug-in. The video below (from the attached course above) should illustrate (starting at 2:53)..

If you're setting up the same thing (external synth through a Logic plug-in), then the solution recommended above should apply -- see the video attached to the previous post, that shows how to use Logic's External Instrument..
