New Course: Mixing with Neutron 4
Neutron 4 is the latest version of iZotope's comprehensive mixing tool, and this new course 'Mixing with Neutron 4' covers all the bases. The course goes over every aspect of iZotope Neutron 4, including all the new features. It starts with the N4 user interface and its powerful mixing modules: EQ, compressors, Gate, Exciter, and Transient Shaper. There are also sections on the Exciter's new Trash mode, which adds over the top distortion options to Exciter's existing subtle saturation choices, and the Compressor's new Punch mode, which makes it easier to add punch & snap by directly targeting the attacks & releases of notes. The course also covers the collection of Intelligent Analysis and mixing features that makes Neutron stand out from the pack -- Sculptor, the Masking Meter, the new Unmask module, and a totally revamped Assistant, along with the bundled Visual Mixer. There are sections that go over the Sculptor module, which dynamically shapes the tone via spectral shaping, and the Masking Meter and the new Unmask module, which make it easy to identify & eliminate problematic masking between tracks in a mix. Also covered is the revamped Assistant, which analyzes a track and offers a chain of processors that can serve as either a finished sound or a starting point for further mixing. And the course wraps up with a look at the included Visual Mixer plug-in, which offers an alternative graphic approach to basic mixing. The course should provide a useful guide to the ins & outs of many components and features of Neutron 4, and is well worth a look.
