Aug 12th, 2021, 05:42
Bitwig Studio 4 is out, and Thavius Beck's new course "Bitwig Studio Advanced Production Workflows" explores the creative possibilities of the latest version.
The course starts off with a look at the powerful new Operators. Similar to features available on Elektron hardware, Operators can be used to bring to life repetitive loops -- four Operator modes (Chance, Repeats, Occurrence and Recurrence) can change a basic idea into something great and complex. They can be coupled with Fill Mode for even more creative options.
Next, the course delves into randomness with the Spread feature, modulating various synth parameters, and Comping, another new feature in Bitwig Studio 4. Over and above the traditional use of comping -- to combine the best parts of many takes to create a perfect one -- Bitwig's Comping can go further, generating interesting textures and unique sonic material. The course also shows how to how to import data from FL Studio and Ableton Live projects, and more.
Anyone ready to take their creativity to the next level should enjoy learning about the creative possibilities of Bitwig Studio 4 in this new course.
