Hi, I'm brand new to Ableton, please send help. :) I recorded a few clips on Ableton using just my computer keyboard and instrument samples. I use a MacBook and my headphones to listen to playback and have selected my headphones under audio output preferences. I can hear instrument samples through my headphones and when I record, whatever I play on on my keyboard, the software recognises because I get the waveforms and etc. The problem is that I can't listen to what I recorded. I tried everything. Selecting the solo option for the track, as well as setting the Monitor to Auto or In, which does nothing. I don't know what to do since Live gets the sound from my instrument but doesn't play my recordings.

Hi Newbie - When you say "doesn't play my recordings", do you mean a recording you made in the Arrangement view of you triggering/launching clips in the Session view? If that's the case --in case you're totally new to Live -- make sure you've enabled Arrangement playback when you switch to the Arrangement view -- it's the little red button at the upper right of the tracks area [if that's not enabled the Arrangement clips will be grey and the tracks there won't play]. If that's not what you meant, then you'll have to clarify what you mean by *my recordings*.. Hi Joe, Thank you for your super swift response! I will absolutely check out that course! The little red button was red, so I'm not sure what I'm missing, but I'll check out the course and hopefully it'll clear it up. Clearly I've skipped something in setup.
