New to Live
Hey everyone! I just purchased Live and want to start learning how to use it. I noticed there are a ton of tutorials on it. Should I just stick with Live 9 tuts or is it worth starting from the beginning on Live 5 and watching absolutely everything?

You don't have to start all the way from the Live 5 tutorials. Start with these ones: http://www.macprovideo.com/tutorial/live9100-whats-new-in-live-9 http://www.macprovideo.com/tutorial/go-live-with-live-9 Then work through the other Live 9 tutorials. But these two should definitely cover the basics of Live so you can get started with writing tunes.

Re: Re: New to Live
If you are beginning with Live, I would still suggest you check out the Core Live 8 101 tutorial, and also the Live 8 501 and 502 (working with Live 8 Level 1 and 2 courses). These tutorials are relevant for the most part to Live 9 and go over topics that are not covered in the Live 9 100 and 101 tutorials. The Live 9 100 tutorial covers the new features introduced in the latest version of Live: the new browser, the audio to MIDI functions, the new Glue compressor, etc. Live 9 101 is all about how to use Live 9 on stage, in a live context. As Gary suggested, both are highly recommended! :) Cheers! Christian
