    Ableton live 11 lite beginner
I have a long piano song that I recorded in 4 parts. I drag each part into the “drop files and devices here” column or the Audio 4 piano column. How do I drag the whole 4 parts as a complete song back to my Ableton folder? I am using MacBook, I watched YouTube and it said use command G but it didn’t work. Hope I don’t have to save that song as WAV file and drag that back to my Ableton folder. Also, I chose a 4 beat count in to record, it gives me 4 beats to start recording, but sometimes it gives me one extra beat in a different tone, don’t understand why, it’s so frustrating as it happens randomly and really mess me up.

Hi - I think your description would need to be a little more specific.. What exactly are these 4 parts -- Are they audio files [WAVs]? Are they MIDI Clips you created in Ableton Live? Where are you dragging them from -- another Live session? Folders in the Live Browser? Clip Slots in Session view? Which view are you dragging them in to, Session view or Arrangement view? What is the "Audio 4 piano column"? You can look up the correct terminology for the different sections & objects in Live by displaying the Info View at the lower left corner [if it's not open click the small triangle button there] and mousing over different areas -- that would make it easier to understand your description of what you're doing.. I've attached a basic Ableton Live course at the top of this thread [More Info] -- Maybe that will help to clarify some of the procedures you're trying to do..
