Lots of good information here but as a WordPress video it's out of date. There is still relevant information regarding the general principles of WordPress, but if you are wanting to follow along with the current version of WP you're out of luck. Minus one star here.
Presenter is clear and goes into good detail about the features and usage of WordPress, but overall the course spends too much time on areas and programmes that are extra to WordPress e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop etc. Minus one star here.
A more concise, updated WordPress video is required here.

I managed to get some good information from this session, however, I feel there was a lot here that should have been in a 102 session rather than this 101. It goes on for a long time, quite often seemingly at tangents - although it’s all relevant. As a 101 session I think it could have concentrated on the basics a lot more, therefore resulting in a more concise and focused session. It feels as though these videos are a ‘port’ from a previously issued set of videos or a DVD rather than specifically written for a 101 module, so that may be the reason it doesn’t fit the bill quite as well as it should.
Having now gleaned the basics from other sources in addition to the information provided here, I am now looking forward to the actual 102 session of this series.

Good course, but it left me wondering how to upload the site I designed in Wordpress installed in my computer to Wordpress online.

This was another good course, I learned a lot about customizing and using Wordpress, and will continue with the next series.

Good basic start on WP. I'm not sure why we detoured into PHotoshop and Illustrator. I wish he would have spent time on transferring a local site to a different server.

Very informative and fun. A little bit longer than it probably could have been. Learned some stuff especially about running wordpress locally

I liked the walk through on installing from .org. i already have a .com blog and was wondering how to make it better. I heard how it was all free and didn't understand that you have to pay for the cool stuff on the .com side. I now have a great feel for it and once I am better at all the other programs I intend to learn here my dite will be awesome! (I hope) I only give it 4 stars because the content files are not available anymore.

This course met the stated objectives, but at 3 1/2 years old is dated. Enough of the presented information has changed to warrant an updated course.
