Electronic drum kits, like the Roland V-Drums, are everywhere in modern music productions. Join trainer Matt Vanacoro in this course, and learn how to best integrate these amazing instruments in your music production setup.
Matt Vanacoro is an A-List New York City based performer, composer and educator with deep experience in all aspects of production, synthesis, electronic keyboards and music technology...
Electronic drumming has evolved so much since their introduction in the '70s. Electronic drums are now very common, both live and in the studio. Compared to acoustic drum kits, electronic kits are lighter, more portable, easier to set up... and they offer infinite sound possibilities! In this course, trainer Matt Vanacoro covers different techniques and workflows you can use to make these electronic instruments feel and sound exactly the way you want to.
Matt starts by covering a crucial (but often neglected) aspect of using a drum kit: how to place and set up the kit. You learn to connect the different pieces of your drum kit, and the importance of choosing the right beater and sticks for your kit. From there, Matt dives into navigating the drum module. He shows you how to create personalized kits by customizing the sounds, using effects, adjusting the trigger zones, using your own samples, and more. Connecting your drum kit with a computer, with third-party software such as Logic Pro X and Superior Drummer is also covered.
So grab your sticks and enjoy this 20-tutorial course by trainer Matt Vanacoro, and get the most out of your electronic drum instrument!

Half way through the course I was telling myself I was going to ask for a refund "simply because this was such basic, basic info."
BUT:
Then I started to tell myself "What more could this man have shown us/me, that he didn't already?"
I think you did really good on this course. I have an Alesis Strike Pro SE that I am learning. I wish you'd come out with a 2nd course that's more advanced and goes into mixing and mastering the drums, the level settings, the exact settings on compression to track with plugins and then perhaps you disable the plugins after tracking and then commit the midi to audio and then re-input the plugins once its in audio format?
So many variations to do just one thing and I feel like you might be able to pull off another course.

Excellent course. Matt explained all of the trigger and midi parameters within the module that I was overwhelmed with. The application of settings within Superior Drummer and the DAW was well articulated. This prepared me for my new TD-27 module arriving soon!
