Monark is, perhaps, one of the best classic analog synth emulations we have ever heard. Harnessing the power of digital software design to accurately capture the essence of discrete analog circuitry, with all of its quirks and personality, is very difficult. Native Instruments was up to the task and has come up with a very powerful and authentic-sounding instrument.

In this course, presenter Matt Vanacoro takes you through every virtual knob and control. He explains the signal routing and shows you all the hidden functionality that makes this synth sing.

You learn about Monark's oscillators, modulators, filters and amplifiers and how they all work together in typical analog fashion to produce that classic sound. You also get an explanation of Monark's seriously cool back panel where the true analog magic happens. Here is where the Native Instrument design team has gone the extra distance. The back panel lets you add ultimate realism to your sound design by controlling the classic analog drift, tracking and distortion. WOW!

I really think I'm gonna love using this synth. Matt, you rip as an Instructor and I wish you did the tutorials on all of the NI synths, very well explained.

Matt does such a good job at translating complexities. I've seen other tutorials on Monark and none of them explained how it works, they only showed what the video-poster does with it. I thought this tutorial was just gonna be a basic overview of Monark but, it's a very detailed breakdown of every function of the instrument. There's no need for Matt to show us what he does with it, even though he educationally does... you'll walk away with knowing how this thing works!

Fantastic course on Monark... I've been dreading this NI package for quite a while now, but Matt makes it look quite easy to use - and in fact it is that easy... This is a 5-star course at the least.. Loving it and would be coming back to it as a reference guide.

With a first look at this Synth, it may appear to look quite simple and straight forward. Throw in some morphing or randomizing between snapshots (presets), the altering of global settings and the ability of Monark to interact with other Konplete plugin modules and you have almost infinite options. The only thing stopping you is your imagination.
