Great little course on Logic Pros EFM1 by David Earl (or you can call me Logic Ninja, I don't care).
It's nice how he describes FM synthesis theory whilst explaining each of the EFM1's parameters and what effect that particular parameter has on the sound.
You can really achieve some 'phat' sounding basses out of this basic little FM synth! I often reach for the EFM1 over FM8 when creating simple but sold bass tones.

It's a good tutorial, although I think it could have more information about the EFM1 since FM is know as a very challenging way to create your own presets.

Nice dive into the D6 and FM synths included with Logic. These have a lot of capability, but not too many options, compared to other synths, so this covers pretty much all you need to know to dig in.

I watched the EFM1 part. It's an excellent intro, and includes enough depth to encourage you to really explore. I look forward to coming back for the second half when I've sated my desire for FM exploration. Now I'm off to watch the FM8 intro.

I watched this to get a handle on the EFM1, but the star of the show for me was the EVD6. It was truly fun to see David revealing things in the EVD6 I had NO IDEA were possible or part of it. I've always ignored that puppy, I'm going to be using that a lot now for sure!!
