Did you ever wonder how Kontakt instruments are created? If so, you've discovered the right course! Learn everything you need to know about creating your first sample instrument in this advanced Kontakt course by Scott Freiman.
Scott Freiman is a renaissance man ... both an award winning musician and entrepreneur, Scott has a long history of composing and producing great music.
Building your first Kontakt instrument begins with learning all the ins-and-outs of sampling. In this initial course in our new advanced Kontakt series, trainer Scott Freiman breaks down the process of building a sample instrument while demystifying the art of sampling.
First you see how a Kontakt instrument is constructed starting with the samples themselves. From there Scott explains how you inject all those audio recordings (samples) into Kontakt. You then learn how to map a simple sample across the keyboard using the Mapping Editor. But this is just the beginning... Scott explains how to batch load multiple samples and then AutoMap them! You also learn about the Group Editor and alternating between different sample groups to achieve more realistic performances. OK, now it's time to start tweaking...
Next up is a section of tutorials that zoom in on the art of looping. Scott explains all of Kontakt's advanced looping and editing tools and how to use them to create perfect, seamless looped samples.
By the time you complete this course you will know what building a simple sample instrument involves and how you can get started building you very own collection of Kontakt instruments. And stay tuned, because there are more Advanced Kontakt courses on the way!

A lesson in clarity. After completing Rishabh's excellent Kontakt 7 series, I wanted a more in-depth look under the hood of the Kontakt sampler. This course from Scott exceeded my expectations. It is so clear, so thorough, so easy to follow - it really is fantastic. If you're a Logic user (and I guess many of us on this platform are) and you've done Joe Albano's excellent course on Logic's Sampler and Quick Sampler, much of this will be familiar territory, just in a new terrain.
I look forward now to taking Scott's follow up course on Advanced Instrument Design in Kontakt.
Don't worry that this was released when Kontakt 5 was around. The sampler is exactly the same in Kontakt 7 as it ever was. In fact, when is NI going to update their sampler interface? Logic's Sampler is a thing of beauty by comparison.

A fantastic sequel to the Kontakt courses series. This course takes the understanding of Kontakt to the next level. I had initially been contemplating buying a few plugins for particular purposes, then I watched this course and found that Kontakt actually does all those things I wanted... Besides gaining even more knowledge and appreciation for Kontakt, another point I gained from this course, is that it pays to read a manual - there usually is so much more that can be achieved.
