This was an amazing course. I learned a lot and suddenly Uhe Diva isn't so intimidation at a first glance. I can start to immediately twist some knobs on an existing preset. And during the course I saved some work to continue on later, since I kind of heard what I could continue to work with. I can highly recommend Rishab Rajan as a teacher. His voice is calming and he really shows every knob.

If you want to know a lot of Diva this is the place!

Really useful to understand more this amazing synth! I was looking for having more details about how this analog synth works and how to create good sounds with it. In this course all parts of the synth are quite good explained. Now I have a better knowledge of Diva and a better starting point for programing good sounds with it.

A good tutorial needs a good narrator, a firm grasp of the principals of the item explored, and a sense of offering something new. Diva, one of the most astonishing soft synths I've ever seen, deserves something a little special as a tutorial. The creative potential of the synth and the exceptional design really raised my expectations for this tutorial. Mr. Rajan is in many ways a good choice for narration. He has a pleasant, easy-going style that verges on languid. He knows the VST software well, and is thorough in his explanation of all of the elements. Thorough to a fault, that is. The problem is that a lot of it feels like filler. If you've never seen a cut-off frequency knob before you'll no doubt be delighted at having it explained in detail, how to move it around etc. along with every other individual knob explained on the synthesizer. On the other hand, if you've programmed a synth or two in the past, the painstaking description of every movable item becomes dull to the point of turgid. It feels like time-wasting and filler. When Rishabh gets creative with the filter its a lot of fun, and its a shame that he didn't feel confident enough to develop the creative parts of the tutorial further. Diva is an utterly staggering synthesizer, the most moving I've ever played as a softsynth, and its crying out for a really in-depth look at its creative elements. You won't find it in this tutorial, however. This is definitely functional, not creative. I've given it three stars, because a workmanlike tutorial deserves a workmanlike score. It does open your eyes to the possibilities of creativity with the synth, but then falls short of exploring those avenues of creativity. If Rishabh made a follow-up tutorial taking the creative aspects a lot further then this current, somewhat basic tutorial, it would make a lot more sense as an introduction. As it stands, there's not enough substance and too much filler to recommend with enthusiasm.

Good overview of synthesizer plugin. However i would wish that there would be much more time spent how to use Diva's powerful features creatively, since that's always hardest part of synthesis.

This is my favourite tutorial on macprovideo so far. It doesn't waste any time explaining things that are elementary. After having watched this, I have higher thoughts of Diva and hopefully will pay more attention to detail in synthesis in the future. Thanks a bunch!

Very Comprehensive, but too much detail on some obvious points. I liked the patch reverse engineering part and more info on programming patches would have been welcome.

Even for those of us who know our way around synth architecture, this course has really helped maximize my time with DIVA as opposed to wasting it aimlessly tweaking. Rishabh's progression of the course from one topic to the next is paced perfectly, and his explanations about the different components and modules really hit the spot. This course should be bundled with each copy of DIVA. ;-) Hope to see more tutorials featuring u-he's sonic masterpieces...Zebra2.5 perhaps?

Fantastic introduction to this deceptively complex analog-modeled synthesizer. Rishabh follows through on each lesson by explaining and demoing each function he describes. I've owned and used Diva for over a year now and have read the official manual a couple times (and view the Diva video tutorials available on uheplugings YouTube channel), however I was still able to learn a thing or two from watching Rishabh's tutorial despite my time with the synth. The cool thing is that I even got inspired seeing his explanation of things I already had a grasp on as well. Great tutorial at an extremely fair price. Stronly recommended for any Diva users or even those interested to know more about this incredible synth before eventual purchase.

I really like this one. Not only you get to know how Diva work´s it also teaches you some of the basic´s about subtractive synthesis . Great one !
