Steinberg's Cubase 9 is here! Whether you're a complete beginner or you simply want to refresh your Cubase skills, this comprehensive 39-tutorial course is specifically designed to get you recording and editing music in Cubase quickly and easily.
Cubase has come a long way since its initial 1.0 release on Atari ST decades ago ... back in 1989! Now at version 9, what started as a basic MIDI sequencer went through many changes to become one of the most robust and respected Digital Audio Workstation in the world today.
But mastering a DAW as fully featured as Cubase is certainly a daunting task. There's so much to learn! Luckily, our in-house Steinberg Product Specialist Matthew Loel T. Hepworth is here to show you the way. Nobody is more qualified than Matt to teach how to get started with Cubase ... and that's exactly why we've asked him to create this Absolute Beginner's Guide!
The course starts by showing you step by step how to connect and configure your audio & MIDI hardware, and how to properly start a new project. Matt then moves on to Cubase's interface. This is where you'll learn about the Project Window, the Track List, the Inspector, the Transport, the Toolbar, and all the essential keyboard shortcuts you need to speed up your workflow. Next thing you know, the metronome will be ticking and you will be recording your first track in Cubase!
As you progress through the course, you will discover what MIDI really is (and what it is not!), how to edit Audio and MIDI data, how to add effects, audio recording tips, how to best use Cubase's factory content... and a lot more!
So join your personal instructor, Matthew Loel T. Hepworth, and learn Cubase 9 the right way in this Absolute Beginner's guide!

This was such a helpful course. Matthew explains everything so well and seemed to always know what question I was asking next in my head. Amazing! I have learned so much from this course and only wish there was a 201 level course to follow it!
