Making synth bass sound like real bass guitar
I need some help. I am going away for a while and will not have room to pack a bass guitar in my suitcase (w/o paying gobs of money to have another carry on). I was hoping to just use logic express 9 to create a bass that sounds like a real bass guitar, since I like the sound. Does anybody know how to do this? By bass guitar I mean something warm and smooth like you would find in the bands warpaint or do make say think * NOT something picked, plucked, or jazzy I have tried some of the synth bass sounds with no success. The "basement bass" seems to be the best, but there is a weird pluck attack noise. Thanks for the help

I'm not too sure if Logic 9 Express has it, but Logic Pro 9 has some really nice realistic sounding basses in the EXS24. I like the 'Stinger Bass' preset under the Electric Bass submenu.
