Highly informative course. I absolutely loved how the instructor peppered the lessons with stories about the classic synths that Thor so wonderfully emulates. I feel completely comfortable with it now

Pros:
C. W. Childs takes us on a journey with this great synth by starting off with the basics in order to quickly move to the fun stuff. You'll get a thorough understanding of both the inner and outer routings of Thor, as well as brief reminder of how Oscillators, Filters and Envelopes works and how they are implemented in Thor.
It surely depends on what level you are, but at least for me, I had to rewind a couple of times when it came to setting up the quite advanced patches in the more advanced section of the videos. Which is a good thing, I suppose.
Cons:
When planning video tutorials like these, I guess that from a selling point you wan't to reach as many as possible. This also becomes both the strenght and the weakness of the product; the new to synthesis, you will feel great about learning what an LFO is, but more advanced users probably feel that they paid for a lot of stuff that they already knew.
Verdict:
Even if the videos suffers from a stressed presentation (as if Mr Childs has a plain to catch), overall I think C. W. Childs hit a pretty good balance and he's a gifted sound designer with a straight forward presentation (no bullshit) style.
Personally I prefer products that are more targeted (beginners, intermediate, advanced), but no one can say that Thor: Master Of All Synths doesn't have something for everybody.
