Robin is a graphic designer and illustrator working primarily in the publishing industry. Her “real world” experience brings a level of professional know-how that flows, like a river of knowledge, through her insightful Adobe tutorials...
Robin Storesund
She got her first computer, a Mac IIcx, in 1989 and began working in FreeHand and PageMaker. Within a couple of years she taught FreeHand at the Boston Center for Adult Education and became a FreeHand beta tester for Aldus. Eventually she moved on to using Adobe Illustrator which she enthusiastically says “...has become an extension of my hand.”
As a freelance artist, specializing in business infographics, she soon became an in-house illustrator for Houghton Mifflin Publishing. She quickly discovered that turning out up to eight detailed illustrations a day –switching rapidly between technical diagrams for math and science books, then more illustrative topics for language– can become a logistical nightmare. This new workflow required her to develop production techniques based upon efficiency. Being that necessity is the mother of invention, she devised techniques to insure that each set of illustrations had their own correct individual production elements and layouts. She also designed useful shortcuts to help speed up the complicated graphic processes required by the large international publishing companies.
Robin brings her immense knowledge-base along with her artistic talents to the practical courses she creates. We welcome Robin to our growing family of Adobe trainers!

Nicely presented. However, if you've been thru the Illustrator 7 CC 100 series I don't think there's any need to spend the time watching these. There are a couple of cool gems though, for me 'Understanding Colorization Methods' and the pulling-out-of the spiral in 'The Right Tools' almost made it worth matching.

This course covers a lot of different tools in Illustrator and how to be efficiënt utilizing them. If you're looking to find more ways of using the tools in Illustrator this is a good starting point.

Even though this is print-centric tutorial and I almost never do print work, I learned a lot of handy tips in this tutorial series. Great stuff!
